While it isn't ready to roll out just yet, I've decided to convert my blog and main site over to Graffiti CMS. The folks at Telligent have put together quite a platform for individual blogging and content management. Despite that, the "CMS" in the product name stands for "Content Made Simple", not "Content Management ...

Effective immediately, I am moving the RSS feed for this blog over to FeedBurner. The new URL for my feed is:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/PeteBrown
Most decent feedreaders should redirect to that and update the feed URL. If they don't, please plug the new URL in there.
I plan to migrate to a new blogging platform sometime in the near future ...

My server at home (which hosts this blog and my main web site) is on the fritz due to too many beta products installed, and the welcome but unexpected increase in traffic caused by my Silverlight 2.0 post from the 8th. Unfortunately, I'm at a Silverlight meeting in Redmond this week, so I won't be able to take care of it until Friday or ...

My main website is pretty disjointed from my blog here, and with one exception, is rarely updated any more. I do plan to convert the main site over, prune out old stuff at somepoint, and make it as easy to update as my blog (WSS will likely be part of that solution)

For example, when I entered the URL for one of my blog pages, squrl generated:squrl: http://squrl.us/2t mobile: http://m.squrl.us/2t cache: ...

This latest comment illustrates one of the reasons I am so dead-set against Hungarian notation (or more importantly, its common [mis]use)Puneet Mehresh wrote:intEIN = objCustomer.Name("xyz"); by reading this, ...

Now that I have completed the Silverlight project, I had a few moments to tie up some loose ends on my own computers at home.
I migrated my sites over to a new machine tonight. The new box is a dual 2.4ghz xeon IBM xSeries 345 server with 2.5gb RAM and four 15,000 SCSI drives, running Windows Server 2008 (longhorn) Beta ...
